WordPress by far operates the majority of the websites out there today.
It is very simple to use and does not require any technical programming skills to start. The system is intuitive, and once you have done the WordPress install on your web host, and you set up the theme you want, you simply start adding pages or blog posts, and configure your menu, and you are good to go.
WordPress also has a very advanced content management system, so not only are you able to easily manage your posts and pages, but also your photos through the media library, which is very extensive and flexible. There are many ways to organize your photos, search them, and reuse them on multiple pages. Once you upload a photo to the site, it won’t get lost behind the platform – you’ll always easily be able to find it again to download a fresh copy, or to use elsewhere.
Finally, WordPress is infinitely flexible because there is a huge inventory of custom plug-ins to allow you to implement virtually any feature you want, or to integrate with any other platform out there.
You might be able to get your website started with a Squarespace or a Weebly, and it might be able to get your business going, but you will eventually run into trouble if you want to tweak the look and feel of the site, or want to add functionality to the site beyond the basics.
